Bitte trefft in diesem Fall Eure eigenen wohlüberlegten Kaufentscheidungen!

Swimming Love- english version

Hi there,

here you can find the english translation.

This fish is the result of the february- CAL of the amigurumi- addicts ravelry group. February, the month of aquarius and fishes, valentines day... So the theme was: Sea love. Here is my interpretation: a tropical fish with a heart for the body.

Material :
  • Schachenmayr Catania (sport weight) in yellow, mango, orange, regatta, jeans and black
  • Hook Nr 3
  • Scissors
  • Yarn needle
  • Fiberfill
Abbreviations (US terms) :
sc- single crochet
slst - slip stitch
ch - chain
dc - double crochet
st- stitch
sctog- insert hook in first st, yarn over, pull trough, insert hook in second st, yarn over, pull through, yarn over, pull through all loops.

Despite of the tail, all parts are worked in rounds. Rounds beginn with ch and end with slst, this is not mentioned extra!

Instructions:

The body:

1.: In regatta: 6 sc in Magic Ring (6)
2.: 2 sc in each st (12)
3.:( sc, 2 sc in next st), repeat all around (18)
4.: (sc, sc, 2 sc in next st), repeat all around (24), change to yellow
5.: sc (24), change to regatta
6.-8.: sc (24), fasten off
--> repeat round 1 to 8. Don't fasten off yarn now, go directely to round 9.

R.9: Hold both parts together and connect them by 6 slst. Then work one round sc over all st you did not connect by slst. (36). Look at the picture, there you can see, what I mean...

Nach Runde 9.

R.10: (4 sc, 1 sctog) repeat (30), change colour to yellow
R.11:( 8 sc, 1 sctog), repeat( 27), change to regatta
R.12:(7 sc, 1 sctog), repeat ( 24)
R.13:(6 sc, 1 sctog), repeat ( 21)
R.14: (5 sc, 1 sctog), repeat ( 18 ) , change colour to yellow
R.15:(4 sc, 1 sctog), repeat ( 15). Flatten the body lightly and fill with fibrefill. Continiue filling with fiberfill over the next rounds.
R.16:(3 sc, 1 sctog), repeat ( 12 )
R.17:(2 sc, 1 sctog), repeat  ( 9)
R.18:(sc, 1 sctog), repeat ( 6)
Pull end tightly together. Fasten off and weave in end.

The mouth:

Work ch 6 and close to circle by slst. Work 8 sc into circle. Fasten off and sew on mouth.

The eyes: 2×

Ch 2 in mango. Work 4 sc in second st from hook. Take a black yarn of 20 cm legth, make a loop and pull the yarn 7 times through the loop. Pull on both ends of the yarn, so that the loop is closing. That is the pupil. Fix pupil in the middle of the circle. Now sew eyes on.

The tail:

Begin in rounds, in jeans:
1. 6 sc in Magic Ring
2. +3.: sc ( 6 )
3.: (sc, 2 sc in next st), repeat ( 9)
4.: (sc, sc, 2 sc in next st), repeat (12)
5.: (sc, 2 sc in next st), repeat(18)
Fold tail together and continue by working in rows. You are working in two stitches at the same time for the next round (st in the front part and the back part, the two that are directly over each other).
6.: sc ( 9)
7.: 8 dc in first st, skip  3 st,  sc, skip 3 st, 8 dc in last st. (17)
8. sc ( 17 )
Fasten off and sew tail to body.

Now embellish the tail like seen on the picture with mango. Work one round slst in yellow on this last row.
