Little bear with froggy backpack

Hi, my english speaking friends,

I just heard that google translater makes the same words out of magic ring and backpack 😎. So I'll definitely need to translate the pattern for you.





Material:

  • Acrylic yarn in white, black and green, aran weight
  • Fibrefill
  • Hook Nr. 4
  • 4 safety eyes, 4 mm, black
  • scissors
  • yarn needle
Abbreviations (US terms):

slst- slip stitch
sc- single crochet
ch- chain
inc- increase
dec- decrease

Please note:

you have to work in rounds. Rounds begin with ch 1 and end by slst. Those stitches are not mentioned extra.

Leave long tails of the cutted yarn at the end of each piece. You can use them for sewing together.


Pattern:

The bear (in white):

The head:

6 sc in magic ring
1.: inc all around (12)
2.: (sc, inc)x6 (18)
3.: (2 sc, inc)x6 (24)
4.: (3 sc, inc)x6 (30)
5.: (4 sc, inc)x6 (36)
6.-10.: sc (36)
11.: (4 sc, dec)x6 (30)
12.: (3 sc, dec)x6 (24)
13.: (2 sc, dec)x6 (18), place saftey eyes and fil with fibrefill.
14.: ( sc, dec)x6 (12)
15.: dec all around (6)

Fasten off.

The nose:

ch 6, work in the round:
1.: 3 sc in the 2. st from the hook, 3 sc, 3 sc in last st. Turn clockwise and work agian in the ch 3 sc (12)
2. inc x3, 3 sc, inc x3, 3 sc. (18)
3.-4.: sc(18)
5.: (sc, dec)x6 (12)

Fasten off.

Sew on the nose, using black yarn. Sew Nose to head.

The ears:
6 sc in Magic Ring. Don't close to circle, but turn and work on the back side:
1.: inc all around. No slst on the end!

Fasten off. Form the ears like you like them and sew on.

The body:

6 sc in magic ring
1.: inc all around (12)
2.: (sc, inc)x6 (18)
3.: (2 sc, inc)x6 (24)
4.-9.: sc (24)
10.: (2 sc, dec)x6 (18),  fill with fibrefill.
14.: ( sc, dec)x6 (12)
15.: dec all around (6)

Fasten off. Sew body to head

The Arms: (2x)

6 sc in magic ring
1.: (sc, inc)x6  (9)
2.-6.: sc (9)

Fasten off. Sew Arms to Body. They should point lightly forward.


The legs: (2x)

6 sc in magic ring
1.: inc all around (12)
2.: (2 sc, inc)v4 (16)
3.: sc (16)
4.: (2 sc, dec)x4 (12)
5.-7.: sc (12)

Fasten off. Sew legs to the body. The tops of the feet point forward and lightly to the side. So your bear can sit

The froggy backpack (in green)

head (2x):

6 sc in magic ring
1.: inc all around (12)
2.: (sc, inc)x6 (18)
3.: (2 sc, inc)x6 (24)
4.: (3 sc, inc)x6 (30)

Fasten off. Sew eyes to one part. After that, sew together the two parts, apart of a part (about 10 stitches). This one keeps open, so that you can put something into the backpack.

Eyes (2x)

White part: 6 sc in magic ring. Fasten off.

Green part:
6 fm in magic ring
1.: inc all around (12)
Fasten off.

Sew white part on the green part and fix two safety eyes.

The belts of the backpack are worked by ch 10 (take your yarn twice for that)The belts are fixed over and under the eyes of the frog.
