Bitte trefft in diesem Fall Eure eigenen wohlüberlegten Kaufentscheidungen!

floating flower square- english version

Hi there,

sorry, it took a little bit of time, but now I can present you my english translation of the foating flower square. Hope you enjoy! If you have any quaestions, feel free to ask.

The floating flower construction in the middle of the work may be the reason that your square makes some waves while you are working. Don't worry- the square will turn out to be more and more flat as you go further on.

Difficulty: easy
Size: 22 cm by using DK weight yarn and hook Nr. 4. That should be 12'' if you use aran weight yarn (but I did not proove this, it is just my experience that I get 22 cm- squares when I use DK weight yarn for 12''- patterns... ☺).

Material:

DK weight cotton yarn
hook nr. 4
scissors
yarn needle

Abbreviations: (US terms)

slst- slip stitch
ch- chain
sc- single crochet
hdc- half double crochet
dc- double crochet
tc- treble crochet
fpdc- front post double crochet
fpsc- front post single crochet

Here we go:
Each round ends with a slst, I do not mention it extra!

R.1: in magic ring: (dc, ch 1)×6 (12)

R.2: (fpdc around the dc, ch 2)×6 (18)

R.3: start at any fpdc: (sc, 4 dc around the ch of R. 1 and 2)×6 (30)

R.4: (fpdc around the sc, ch 6 )×6 (42)

R.5: (fpdc around the fpdc, around the ch: dc, 2 hdc, 4 sc, 2 hdc, dc)×6 (66)

R.6: (fpdc around the fpdc, dc, 2 hdc, 2 sc into the next sc, 2 sc, 2 sc into the next sc, 2 hdc,  dc)×6 (78)

R.7: (fpsc around the fpdc, 2 sc, skip next stitch, 3 dc in next stitch, 3 tc in R.5,  3 dc in 4. stitch before next fpdc, skip one stitch, 2 sc)×6 (84)

R.8: begin at the tc in the middle. (3 sc, hdc, 3 dc, fpdc, 2 dc, hdc, 3 sc)×6 (84)

R.9: [(2 tc, ch 2, 2 tc = edge), tc, 2 dc, 3 hdc, 3 sc, 1 sc together, 3 sc, 3 hdc, 2 dc, tc]×6 (4 edges, 4x20=80 stitches at each side)

R.10: [(2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc = edge), (2 dc in next stitch, skip one stitch)× 11]x4 (4 edges, 4x22=88 stitches at each side)

R.11:[(2 dc, ch 2,  2 dc = edge), (2 dc between the dc- cluster )×13]x4 (4 edges, 4x 26 = 104 stitches at each side)
